Banjo Workshop!

with Frank & Allie Lee

Sunday April 28, 2019

10am - 11am  Beginner Workshop
11am - 12pm  Intermediate Workshop

Class Fee: $30

Allie's workshop at 10am will be geared toward beginners. To us, that means anyone who's never held a banjo, someone who can play 3-4 tunes very slowly, someone who can play chords while keeping the basic rhythm but hasn't learned how to play melodies yet, and anyone in between.
Frank's workshop at 11am will be geared toward confident intermediate through advanced players. To us, that means anyone who can play the basic strum (sometimes called the "bum ditty") at a consistent & moderate tempo and 3 or more of the following: has a repertoire of 8 or more tunes (playing the melody) in standard and double C tuning, can read tabs, can execute drop thumb with right hand fluently, knows and can use chords to play a song/tune at a singable tempo.

*You can also like to audit the other workshop: This means you could still be part of the group, but you would not receive personal attention from the instructor. There is no extra charge for auditing.

Frank & Allie Lee (Bryson City, NC) will be performing for "Live from Charlevoix" on Saturday, 4/27. The good folks at "Live" and Charlevoix Circle of Arts have teamed up with Frank & Allie to provide time and space at Charlevoix Circle of Arts for Clawhammer Banjo Workshops.
